Melissa M. Gonzalez, CPA, AEP®
Melissa is a member of Mazar USA’s Private Client Service Department and runs the Trust & Estate Group for the Long Island office. Melissa oversees the fiduciary, estate and gift tax returns for the office and delivers personal tax and estate planning, as well as compliance services, to high-net-worth individuals. Melissa was awarded the Accredited Estate Planner (AEP®) designation by the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils which recognizes estate planning professionals who meet special requirements of education, experience, knowledge, professional reputation, and character.
In addition to serving as the President of the Estate Planning Council of Nassau County, she is also a member of the Estate Planning Committee for the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) and the Moxxie Mentoring Foundation, which supports and fosters the career advancement and leadership development of young women. Melissa recently presented for the second consecutive year at The Women’s Collaborative, Long Island’s Premier Women’s Leadership Conference, helping women take control of their own financial wellbeing.
As a two-time Hodgkin’s Lymphoma survivor, Melissa is very active with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS), which helps to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma. She has helped raised over $400,000 over the fiver year for the cause.
Melissa has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Bentley University. She resides in Greenlawn, New York with her husband, two sons and daughter.
